Wedding Ceremonies

Your wedding ceremony should be everything you want it to be. It could be very traditional or extremely laid back and casual or anywhere in between. We can work together to create a unique, personalised, meaningful and fun ceremony that will meet all the legal requirements.

We can tailor your wedding from a simple elopement ceremony (just 5 of us – must have 2 witnesses over 18 years) up to an elaborate ceremony with all the trimmings. You steer the direction you want to go in.

Commitment Ceremonies

Don’t want to go through the legal requirements but want to publicly declare your love and commitment to each other or if you have been married overseas and wish to have a ceremony in Australia a commitment ceremony is what you will be looking for. It can be anything or everything you want it to be.

We can create your unique ceremony your way without having to incorporate the legal bits.

Vow Renewal

Been married for a while? Have a special anniversary coming up?

You know that you are not the same couple that got married, you have both grown and changed but your love for and commitment to each other has grown stronger over the years and you are wanting to acknowledge and share with your family and friends.

A vow renewal is a beautiful way of reflecting on your journey together so far, acknowledging who you are today and re-committing to a future together.

Baby Naming

Welcoming a new baby into the family unit is cause for great celebration. A baby naming is a civil ceremony to publicly welcome the baby into the family and wider community.

It is a ceremony that can be formatted to your choosing incorporating your values and beliefs.

Funeral or Memorial Service

Losing a loved one can leave us floundering. I will be there to walk you through the process of planning the funeral/memorial service to acknowledge and celebrate the life of person you have lost.

I will listen to your memories, your wants and needs to craft a service that is respectful and portrays the person as you wish their story to be told.

Preplanning Your Funeral Service

We are all born, and we are all going to die, however most of us either don’t want to talk about it or even think about it. Talking or thinking about death doesn’t make it happen, in fact we should not only talk about it, but we should think about planning for it. It is important that our family members know what our final wishes are.

Pre-planning your funeral service helps to ease the burden of loved ones when you do pass, it assists in making it very clear to everyone what you want and lessens the stress when family members have different opinions on what they though you wanted. Choose your readings, poems, prayers, music, cremation or burial.

We can work together to create a service that can help your family and friends to celebrate your life.

Wedding Ceremony Prices

How much does a marriage celebrant cost in Queensland?

Prices vary of course depending on the day of your wedding and the requirements of the ceremony. A simple elopement ceremony will range from $350 (M-F) – $500 (Weekend) whereas a large elaborate ceremony of 200+ guests could be in the range of $500 – $700. These prices are current from 1 July 2025. Travel outside of a 100 km radius of Townsville may incur additional costs. Once I know the full details a firm quote can be provided.

Civil Ceremony Prices

Commitment Ceremonies, Vow Renewals, Baby Naming Ceremony, Memorials and Funeral Services.

Prices will vary depending on the day of your ceremony (Monday to Friday or Weekend) and any additional requirements. Usually in the range of $300 – $500 (Prices current as at 1 July 2025). Travel outside of a 100km radius of Townsville may incur additional costs.

This service is provided free of charge. I ask that your family advise the Funeral Director that I am your appointed celebrant for the service. In the case that I am not available arrangements will be made for an alternate celebrant to be available.
